We design and build AI-native software.
EcoFlux Ltd is a technology company based in Glasgow. We take consumer and professional software from first sketch to public release — product design, engineering, infrastructure and ongoing support — alongside applied research into recovering usable heat from high-density computing.
What we do
We are a small, hands-on studio. The same people who design a product also write the code that ships it, which keeps decisions fast and the quality bar consistent from concept through to the store listing.
Mobile applications
Native-feeling iOS and Android apps built on React Native and Expo — including onboarding, subscriptions and in-app purchases, offline behaviour, push notifications and store submission.
Web applications
Fast, responsive web products in TypeScript and React, deployed on modern edge hosting with continuous delivery so changes reach users within minutes of being merged.
Applied AI
Large language models, speech and generative media integrated as real product features — not demos. We handle prompt design, streaming, cost control, evaluation and safe failure behaviour.
Backend & data
Authentication, Postgres data modelling, row-level security, storage, edge functions and third-party integrations — built so the product can grow without a rewrite.
Audio, video & media
Signal processing, audio synthesis and programmatic video rendering for products where media is the experience rather than decoration.
Energy systems R&D
Applied research into capturing waste heat from high-density compute and returning it to district heat networks — the work the company was originally founded to pursue.
How we work
A deliberately short path from idea to something real in a user's hands, then steady iteration once it is there.
Define the smallest honest version
We agree what the product must genuinely do to be worth using, and what can wait. Scope discipline at this stage is what keeps a release date real rather than aspirational.
Design and build together
Interface design and engineering run as one activity, in short cycles, against working software. Decisions are tested in the running product rather than argued over in documents.
Ship to a real store, properly
Store listings, privacy declarations, review requirements, billing and release builds are treated as part of the product — because to the person downloading it, they are.
Measure, fix, iterate
After launch we watch real usage and error reporting, fix what breaks, and keep improving the parts people actually reach for.
Technology we work with
We choose boring, well-supported tools for the foundations, and reserve novelty for the parts of a product that genuinely benefit from it.

Applied research: heat from compute
EcoFlux was formed around a straightforward observation: high-density computing produces a very large amount of heat, and most of it is thrown away. Captured at the right temperature, that heat is a useful product rather than a disposal problem.
Our research looks at direct-to-chip liquid cooling and how recovered heat can be delivered into district heat networks serving homes and public buildings. It runs alongside the software practice and informs how we think about efficiency in everything we build.
